San Pedro de Alcántara

San Pedro Alcántara is a Spanish town in the municipality of Marbella in the province of Málaga. It is also the name given to the district of Marbella which includes the town of San Pedro Alcántara, residential developments and other population centres. The locality is located in the western part of the municipality of Marbella. It borders the municipalities of Estepona and Benahavís to the west, Benahavís to the north and the district of Nueva Andalucía to the east along the river Guadaiza.

The town has a wide promenade along the beach with a total length of 3.5 kilometres, linked to Puerto Banús (Nueva Andalucía) all the way to the town of Marbella.

San Pedro de Alcántara also has an important cultural and historical heritage, with places of interest such as the tower of Las Bóvedas, the Vega de Mar Basilica and the Roman baths.
