Benahavís is a mountain village in the province of Málaga, situated 7 km from the coast. It is situated between Marbella, Estepona and Ronda, on the Western Costa del Sol. It is popular for its restaurants and for being a pueblo blanco (white village) with a typical Moorish layout.
It is situated 150 metres above sea level. The climate is Mediterranean, with an average annual temperature of 63°F (17°C), and it has a census population of around 7,700 inhabitants, of which more than half are foreigners.
The village mixes the traditional white villages of the province of Málaga with the modernity and quality of its tourist infrastructures. Benahavís has a dozen golf courses, various resources for adventure sports in beautiful natural surroundings and a varied gastronomic offer.
