Rincón de la Victoria is a tourist centre on the Costa del Sol, known for its sea caves and beaches. Due to its proximity to the city of Málaga (the centre of the capital is 16 kilometres away on the motorway), it has become a dormitory town, although it still retains part of its seafaring character.
It is located in the region of La Axarquía and is part of the metropolitan area of Málaga. With a population of 49,790 inhabitants, Rincón de la Victoria is the ninth most populated municipality in the province and the second in the region after Vélez-Málaga.
The municipality stands out not only for its beaches and its landscape of tropical vegetation, but also for its important historical legacy. The castle of Bezmiliana, a fortress built in the 18th century, is a highlight of its heritage.
Rincón de la Victoria continues to grow in terms of leisure, tourism, sport and culture. Throughout the year, you can make plans, organise an excursion or simply enjoy yourself as just another local. You will always find an alternative as the weather is ideal year-round.
